Your Brig o' Turk
Trossachs B&B hosts.
Your hosts are Frank and Susan and we try to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. We
offer bed and breakfast in lovely surroundings - literally home from home.
There are three en-suite bedrooms (one double and two twin), a large farmhouse kitchen where breakfast is served
and a comfortable residents lounge
with SKY TV and a wide selection of videos and DVDs to watch and books to read.
Burnt Inn House Trossachs B&B stands in two acres and from each bedroom there are beautiful
views over our local mountain, Ben Venue, and the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. We also
have off road parking, gardens and a large farmhouse kitchen in which to enjoy your
breakfast.
Dating back to the 1850s Burnt Inn House used to be the coach house and stable at The
Trossachs New Hotel, which burnt down in 1864.
The hotel had quite a few famous guests; among them, John Millais and John Ruskin in 1853 and the Prince and
Princess of Wales in August 1864. Situated in the heart of the Trossachs (part of Loch
Lomond and The Trossachs National Park), Burnt Inn House is in the centre of the village
of Brig o Turk. The village is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by lochs, glens
and mountains, six miles from Callander and yet within easy distance of Stirling, Glasgow,
Edinburgh and Perth. If you want to explore further afield, day trips to Glencoe, Oban,
Dundee and St Andrews are highly recommended. |
